Two Indian Army commando have gone missing in the high mountains of Jammu and Kashmir. They disappeared while on patrol in the challenging Kokernag area of South Kashmir's Anantnag district.
 A large search operation is now underway to find them. The area is known for its thick forests and difficult terrain.
The missing soldiers are part of the elite paratroopers special force. They were working on an anti-terror operation when the weather turned very bad. The army confirmed that they lost contact due to a severe snowstorm.

Last year, two more soldiers also lost their lives in a separate incident in the area. One civilian also died during an encounter. These events highlight the ongoing security concerns in places like Kokernag.
