Israel's attack in Gaza Hospital Al-Ahli Gaza City Bombed: Journalists and Civilians Killed
An attack on the Al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza City has left at least seven people dead. The dead include four journalists. The Israeli military is responsible for the attack.
Details of the Attack
An Israeli drone hit the hospital. Many people were hurt. Bodies were found scattered outside the building. This is the eighth time Al-Ahli Hospital has been hit since the war started.
Dr. Fadel Naim, the head of the hospital, said the hospital was hit by a rocket in the garden. This area is where patients, their families, and journalists gather. Six people died, including four journalists and two relatives of patients. About 30 people were hurt, including four health workers.
No Safe Place in Gaza
"There's no safe in Gaza," Dr. Naim said. "Hospitals, mosques, churches, streets, markets, everywhere are targeted."
The hospital had just reopened two weeks before the attack. It had been damaged in a previous explosion. The hospital had worked hard to fix the damage to the:
- OBD department
- Pharmacy
- X-ray department
- Emergency department
Gaza City faces another wave of genocide
Al Jazeera's Hani Mahmood reported live from Gaza City. He said there were at least five drones attacking Gaza City. The drones were firing missiles at people.
Other attacks happened near the Al-Shifa hospital. Five people were killed there. Another attack near a bakery in Gaza City killed two people. They died after being taken to the hospital.
Earlier, attacks hit tents for displaced people in Al-Mwasi. This area was supposed to be a safe zone. But many people who went there for shelter have died.
Food Shortages
Food distribution centers are closed because Israelis shot and killed people who were trying to get food. Very little aid is getting into Gaza.
Hani Mahmood said that he and his crew had not eaten all day. They could not find food anywhere. Many people are in the same situation.
The northern part of Gaza has run out of food. The canned food that is left has expired. It is not healthy and could cause health problems.
Only a small amount of food has been allowed into the southern part of Gaza. Many of the trucks carrying food have been looted by armed groups. These groups are near the Karma crossings and are protected by the Israeli military.
The World Food Programme (WFP) has reported the looting and the ongoing air strikes. These issues are making it difficult to get aid to the people who need it. About 2.3 million people do not have enough food or other basic supplies.
A Difficult Situation
People in Gaza face constant drone attacks and a lack of food. This makes it very hard to live and work there.
