Kyiv Attacked: Dozens Dead and Injured

Russia has launched a deadly attack on Kyiv, Ukraine. This attack is one of the worst in recent months, leaving many dead and injured. We will cover what happened during the attack and how it has impacted the city.

A Night of Terror in Kyiv

The night sky over Kyiv turned into a scene of fire and terror. Russia attacked with missiles and drones for over nine hours. People heard loud explosions and the sounds of drones. One person said it was "probably the most hellish night in my memory."

One of the main targets was an apartment building. The attack caused entire floors to collapse. Rescue teams worked to pull people from the wreckage. They found people trapped under the destroyed building, including a man holding his cat.

A resident who survived the attack said it was "very loud and scary." They got out of their home just in time. Another person was asleep when a loud explosion broke their window. Glass fell on them as they slept.

Russia Intensifies Attacks

This attack is part of Russia's plan to weaken Ukraine. Russia has launched many drones and missiles to try and overwhelm Ukraine's defenses. They are also attacking areas near the front lines, like Sunumi and Denipro.

Ukraine claims they stopped the latest Russian attacks. But Russia says its troops are still moving forward.

Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called the attacks "pure evil."

He planned to attend a G7 meeting in Canada. At the meeting, Zelenskyy is expected to urge leaders to provide more support for Ukraine in the war against Russia.
