The situation in Gaza is dire. People are struggling to get food, medicine, and shelter. Aid organizations are in ruins. Many aid workers have been killed or hurt. Palestinians are facing a severe crisis.

Palestinian civil society organizations have suffered many attacks. These attacks have resulted in:

  • 230 aid workers killed
  • Hundreds more injured
  • Nearly 80% of headquarters and aid facilities destroyed

These organizations are also dealing with a lack of money because international funding has decreased.

Israel is blocking critical aid 

from the United Nations and the World Food Program. Instead, aid is being distributed through sites managed by the GHF Group.

An alternative aid delivery system is being created. This system bypasses local humanitarian organizations. Groups like the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, supported by Israel and the United States, are aiming to privatize aid delivery through private companies. Their shelters are mainly in southern Gaza.

Palestinians face immense pressure.

They risk death by starvation or going to dangerous distribution sites.

One resident said that UNRWA doesn't give them any aid.

They wished the UN and other official groups would take over the distribution again. Going to places like Zikum is dangerous. People are dying there. The resident feels trapped. They might be able to get a food parcel, but they can't feed their children.

Palestinians are enduring deliberate starvation. Humanitarian aid is being used as a weapon, not a lifeline.

The humanitarian crisis in Gaza is a severe issue. Aid organizations are struggling, and people are desperate for food and basic necessities. The blocking of aid and the creation of alternative mechanisms are making the situation worse. Palestinians are facing immense pressure and are in urgent need of help.
